ATHENS, Greece (Interstat) — Sofadon held off a late Papagou rally for an 83-80 victory in a Greek HEBA A2 league game Wednesday night. The visitors built a 50-36 halftime lead but survived a 24-point fourth quarter from Papagou to secure the win.

Chantzis Konstantinos led Sofadon with a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Mike Bothwell added a team-high 19 points. Kostas Bilalis scored 19 points for Papagou, and Somto Dimanochie contributed 16 points and 10 rebounds.

The result improved Sofadon to 9-17 this season. Papagou fell to 15-10. The win avenged a one-point loss to Papagou in December.
