Ermis Schimatari vs. Sofadon

Preview: Ermis Schimatari at Sofadon

SCHIMATARI, Greece (Interstat) — A clash between teams at opposite ends of the Greek HEBA A2 standings is set for Saturday as playoff-chasing Ermis Schimatari visits struggling Sofadon.

The matchup pits Schimatari (14-7), riding a three-game winning streak, against a Sofadon (6-15) squad seeking consistency. The teams last met on Nov. 8, 2025, a dominant 91-54 road victory for Sofadon in Schimatari.

Ermis Schimatari enters with significant momentum, having won five of its last six games. The team is coming off an 87-79 home victory over NE Megaridas on Wednesday, led by a season-high 29 points from guard Dimitris Geromichalos. Geromichalos has been instrumental, averaging 16.3 points and 4.8 assists over his last four contests.

Sofadon snapped a two-game skid with a convincing 75-58 road win at Peira Machites on Wednesday. The performance was fueled by a standout all-around effort from guard Chantzis Konstantinos, who posted 15 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. Konstantinos has recorded two triple-doubles in recent weeks, including a 14-point, 10-rebound, 8-assist performance in a Jan. 24 overtime win.

Schimatari’s attack is balanced, with forward Andreas Kanonidis (18 points, 7 rebounds vs. Megaridas) and center Petros Melissaratos providing key support. The team averages 83.6 points per game during its current 5-1 run.

Sofadon has shown flashes, with Konstantinos and forward Evdoxios Kapetakis (19 points Wednesday) leading the way. However, defensive lapses have been costly; the team allows an average of 79.5 points per game.

A Schimatari victory would solidify its position in the upper tier of the league table, while Sofadon aims to build on its latest win and climb from the cellar.

Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Sofadon’s home arena.
