Mladost vs. Promo Donji Vakuf

Preview: Mladost Visits Promo Donji Vakuf in BiH Liga Clash

DONJI VAKUF, Bosnia and Herzegovina (Interstat) — Two teams seeking momentum will meet Saturday when Promo Donji Vakuf hosts Mladost in a Bosnian BiH Liga matchup at Donji Vakuf SD.

The home side holds a slight edge in the standings, entering with an 8-14 record across all competitions. Mladost arrives at 6-16. Both clubs are looking to rebound from losses in their most recent outings. Promo Donji Vakuf fell 74-61 at KK Jamorina on April 4, while Mladost dropped a 68-61 decision to Radnik Bijeljina at home on April 5.

The season series, however, favors the visitors. In their last meeting on Jan. 4, Mladost dominated Promo Donji Vakuf 90-65.

A key matchup will feature Mladost forward Dejan Cup against Promo Donji Vakuf center Reuf Livadic. Cup is coming off a strong performance in the loss to Radnik Bijeljina, posting 13 points and nine rebounds in 21 minutes. His consistency has varied, with a 10-point, six-rebound game at Zrinjski on March 15 highlighting his potential.

Livadic has been a steady force for the hosts. He nearly recorded a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds in the loss to Jamorina. Over his last three games, he has averaged 13 points and 10.7 rebounds, demonstrating his importance in the paint.

For Mladost, support for Cup will need to come from center Igor Stokic, who had nine points and 10 rebounds in the last game, and forward Aleksandar Smiljanic.

Promo Donji Vakuf will rely on forward Nedim Mustafica and guard Allen Powell, who each scored 11 points in the team’s previous contest.

The game tips off at 6 p.m. local time. Mladost next hosts Takovo Leotar on April 18, while Promo Donji Vakuf travels to face Studen Mostar the same day.
