Virginia rallies past Syracuse in fourth-quarter thriller at Scott Stadium

(Interstat) — Virginia scored twice in the fourth quarter and held off a late Syracuse comeback for a 28-25 victory Saturday at Scott Stadium in an NCAA Football Bowl Division game. The Cavaliers improved to 4-2. Syracuse dropped to 2-3. Attendance was 39,661. The game featured four lead changes and a late Syracuse touchdown that pulled the Orange within three points, but Virginia’s defense made the final stop.
