Cal Poly 20, at San Jose State 30

SAN JOSE (Interstat) — Luke Weaver threw three touchdown passes, including two to Carson Clark, and San Jose State used a late fourth-quarter surge to defeat Cal Poly 30-20 on Saturday night at CEFCU Stadium. The Spartans improved to 2-1 with the NCAA Football Bowl Division win. Cal Poly, an FCS member, fell to 3-1. The Mustangs had won their first three games of the season, but they could not hold off San Jose State after tying the game in the fourth quarter.
