MOREHEAD, Ky. (Interstat) — Visiting Valparaiso defeated Morehead State 37-3 on Saturday in an NCAA Football Championship Division game at Jayne Stadium. The Beacons improved to 2-3, while the Eagles dropped to 0-4. Rowan Keefe led Valparaiso, completing 14 of 21 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for 27 yards on eight carries. David Parsons completed 5 of 16 passes for 83 yards for Morehead State. Noah Ehrlich added 54 passing yards and 33 rushing yards for the Beacons. Bryce Patterson rushed for 56 yards for the Eagles. Wyatt Little had two tackles and an interception for Valparaiso. Max Samuel recorded six tackles, one sack and one quarterback hurry. Colin Hayes caught a touchdown pass, Daniel White had four receptions for 62 yards and a score, and Marty O’Keeffe made three catches for 90 yards. Sidney Webb led Morehead State with 11 tackles and returned two kickoffs for 33 yards. Josh Bowling, Tazion McQueen and Chris Johnson each added seven tackles, KJ Hardesty had eight and Lane Sumerel had nine.
