CONWAY (Interstat) — Appalachian State will visit Coastal Carolina on Friday in an NCAA Football Bowl Division game at Brooks Stadium in Conway, S.C.

Appalachian State enters 3-2 and is looking to rebound from a 10-3 loss to Old Dominion. Malachi Singleton completed 5 of 23 passes for 72 yards and rushed four times for 10 yards in that game. Henry Hasselbeck completed 2 of 4 passes for minus-6 yards and rushed five times for 27 yards. Jaquari Lewis ran 10 times for 41 yards and caught one pass for minus-1 yard. Singleton is a player to watch for the Mountaineers. Against North Carolina State, he completed 26 of 38 passes for 317 yards, rushed eight times for 7 yards, threw two touchdown passes and ran for one touchdown. Against Charlotte, he completed 28 of 42 passes for 331 yards, rushed five times for 14 yards, caught one pass for 14 yards and threw two touchdown passes. The Mountaineers beat Charlotte 26-21, won at East Carolina 27-24 and beat Maine 55-3. They lost at North Carolina State 41-31 and fell to Old Dominion 10-3.

Coastal Carolina enters 2-4 and is coming off a 27-21 win at Marshall. Deuce Bailey completed 8 of 18 passes for 73 yards, rushed eight times for 21 yards and scored one touchdown. Dominic Lee-Knicely ran 25 times for 169 yards, caught three passes for 42 yards and scored once. Jaden Allen-Hendrix ran eight times for 39 yards and scored one touchdown. Bailey is a player to watch for the Chanticleers. Against Georgia Southern, he completed 19 of 33 passes for 228 yards, rushed 14 times for 58 yards and scored two touchdowns. Against Liberty, he completed 17 of 34 passes for 213 yards, rushed 15 times for 31 yards and scored two touchdowns. At Delaware, he completed 16 of 26 passes for 250 yards, rushed 12 times for 42 yards and scored two touchdowns. The Chanticleers beat Fordham 45-7, lost at West Virginia 31-24, lost at Delaware 22-14, fell to Liberty 34-17 and lost to Georgia Southern 31-24.

After this game, Appalachian State hosts James Madison, visits Georgia Southern and hosts Georgia State. Coastal Carolina visits Georgia State, hosts Old Dominion and hosts Arkansas State. The Mountaineers also have upcoming games against Marshall, Louisiana-Monroe and South Alabama. The Chanticleers also have upcoming games against Louisiana and James Madison.
