STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (Interstat) — Visiting Princeton defeated Wagner 28-13 on Saturday in an NCAA Football Championship Division game at Hameline Field at Wagner College Stadium. Wagner quarterback Benjamin Newman completed 15 of 24 passes for 176 yards and ran seven times for 33 yards. Princeton quarterback Wyatt Becker completed 6 of 15 passes for 106 yards and one touchdown and ran three times for 32 yards. Ty Ciongoli added nine of 15 passing for 92 yards. Princeton linebacker Chase Christopher recorded nine tackles and two quarterback hurries, while Casey Etienne Jr. had five tackles and an interception. Kyler Ronquillo made six tackles. Wagner linebacker Brendan Leal had seven tackles, Logan Barnes added six, Abdoul Idriss had five, and Freddie Camp posted four tackles and an interception. Vincent Muscillo punted four times for 164 yards. Karlos Grier caught two passes for 16 yards and returned three kickoffs for 87 yards. Princeton’s Dylan Torrico and Mycah Mitchell each recorded four tackles. Attendance was 1,223. Princeton improved to 3-1. Wagner fell to 1-5.
