Old Dominion’s offense is led by Ryan Huff, who completed 20 of 39 passes for 261 yards and a touchdown in the Monarchs’ most recent game, a 46-20 loss to James Madison. Huff also attempted one pass in an earlier win over Norfolk State. Devin Roche contributed 18 rushing yards, 23 receiving yards and 5 punt return yards against James Madison. Old Dominion will try to control the ball with Huff and Roche while Georgia State will lean on Brown’s passing and McCrary’s rushing. The Monarchs have struggled for consistency, while the Panthers have scored at least 30 points in all four games. Old Dominion’s defense will need to contain Brown and avoid giving up explosive plays. Georgia State’s defense will focus on Huff and the Monarchs’ passing game. Old Dominion is seeking its first road win of the season.

Old Dominion is scheduled to visit Appalachian State in its next game. Georgia State will visit James Madison in its next game. The Monarchs then host Georgia Southern, while the Panthers later host Coastal Carolina. Both teams remain in the chase for bowl eligibility, though Old Dominion needs a turnaround after a difficult start.
