BIRMINGHAM (Interstat) — Navy will visit UAB on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, for an NCAA Football Bowl Division game at Protective Stadium. The Midshipmen enter with a 1-1 record. The Blazers are 1-2. UAB will be the home team. Navy’s team nickname is the Midshipmen. UAB’s team nickname is the Blazers. The game is scheduled for Friday at Protective Stadium in Birmingham.

UAB enters after a 21-14 loss at Louisiana on Sept. 19. Quarterback Ryder Burton, a player to watch for the Blazers, completed 15 of 25 passes for 144 yards in that game. Nate Rogers also contributed for UAB, carrying twice for 13 yards and scoring one touchdown. UAB’s other results this season include a 26-20 home win over Louisiana-Monroe on Sept. 12 and a 42-23 loss at Illinois on Sept. 3. The Louisiana game was UAB’s second road contest of the season.

Navy most recently fell 38-30 at Florida Atlantic on Sept. 12. Braxton Woodson, Jackson Gutierrez and Michael Barrow were among Navy’s most productive players in that game. Woodson is a quarterback, and Barrow is a wide receiver. The Midshipmen opened the season with a 42-15 home win over Towson on Sept. 5. Navy has not played since Sept. 12. The Midshipmen will seek their second win of the season after splitting their first two games.

The Midshipmen will continue their schedule at Air Force on Oct. 3. Navy then hosts Tulsa on Oct. 10, visits Texas-San Antonio on Oct. 17, hosts North Texas on Oct. 24, hosts Notre Dame on Oct. 31, hosts Temple on Nov. 7, hosts Memphis on Nov. 21, visits Charlotte on Nov. 28 and visits Army on Dec. 12.

UAB’s upcoming slate begins with Samford at home on Oct. 3. The Blazers then visit Memphis on Oct. 10, host East Carolina on Oct. 15, visit South Florida on Oct. 31, host Charlotte on Nov. 7, visit Temple on Nov. 14, host Texas-San Antonio on Nov. 21 and visit North Texas on Nov. 28.

The game at Protective Stadium is set for Friday. Navy will be the visiting team, and UAB will be the home team. Both programs are competing in the Football Bowl Division. The contest is part of the 2026 NCAA football season. The Midshipmen and Blazers are set to meet on the Friday night slate. The game will be played at UAB’s home stadium.
