RICHMOND, Va. (Interstat) — Richmond defeated Georgetown 24-21 on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at Robins Stadium in an NCAA Football Championship Division game. The Spiders improved to 3-1, while the Hoyas fell to 0-2. Ashten Snelsire led Richmond, completing 29 of 49 passes for 322 yards and one touchdown. Aziz Foster-Powell rushed 17 times for 87 yards and caught five passes for 35 yards, scoring three total touchdowns. Blake Houser recorded nine tackles and 1.5 sacks, and TJ Baldwin added five tackles and one quarterback hurry. For Georgetown, Jack Johnson completed 14 of 23 passes for 193 yards and three touchdowns. Hassan Mahasin caught four passes for 121 yards and a score, while Jayden Sumpter rushed 11 times for 92 yards. Chigozie Oge-Evans made three tackles, one sack and two quarterback hurries. Josh Leff punted seven times for 298 yards. Richmond’s Ned Gray punted four times for 188 yards.
