(Interstat) — Nick Minicucci threw for 302 yards and two touchdowns and Sean Wilson caught nine passes for 185 yards and two scores as Delaware defeated Coastal Carolina 22-14 on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at Delaware Stadium in an NCAA Football Championship Division game. The Blue Hens improved to 2-1, while the Chanticleers fell to 1-2. Minicucci completed 24 of 32 passes and added five rushes for 10 yards. Deuce Bailey led Coastal Carolina, going 16 of 26 for 250 yards and two touchdowns while rushing 12 times for 42 yards. Goldie Lawrence caught a 62-yard touchdown, and Colton Hinton added a scoring reception. Delaware’s defense was paced by Colin Gallagher’s eight tackles, while Blake Matthews had six tackles, one sack and two quarterback hurries. Noah Matthews added five tackles, 1.5 sacks and one hurry. Linebacker Ibrahim Diawara recorded nine tackles, 1.5 sacks and one hurry for Coastal Carolina.
