Oregon Ducks Dominate Portland State in Lopsided Home Rout

EUGENE (Interstat) — Oregon scored in every quarter and overpowered visiting Portland State 84-0 on Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, at Autzen Stadium in a NCAA Football Bowl Division game. The Ducks, playing as the home team, moved to 2-1 on the season, while the Vikings, the visiting team, fell to 0-4. A crowd of 58,114 watched Oregon control the game from the opening possession and never allow Portland State to find a rhythm. The Ducks scored 21 points in the first quarter, 14 in the second, 21 in the third and 28 in the fourth. Portland State was held scoreless in all four quarters. The game was never in doubt after Oregon’s early surge, and the Ducks emptied their bench while continuing to add to the margin. Oregon’s defense limited Portland State’s offense throughout, and the Vikings’ deepest threats rarely produced points. The victory gave Oregon a needed rebound after a road loss the previous week, while Portland State remained winless.

Dante Moore led Oregon’s offense and was the game’s top star. The quarterback from Detroit, Michigan, completed 19 of 23 passes for 280 yards and four touchdowns. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, Moore spread the ball around and consistently found open receivers. His performance helped Oregon build a large lead early and set the tone for the Ducks. Moore’s previous game came Sept. 12, 2026, at Oklahoma State, where he completed 14 of 29 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns in a 39-31 loss. Against Portland State, Moore was far more efficient and did not need to play deep into the second half. Oregon’s passing attack produced big plays through the air and complemented a rushing game that also found the end zone.

Dylan Raiola also delivered a sharp performance for Oregon. The quarterback from Buford, Georgia, completed 11 of 11 passes for 124 yards and three touchdowns. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, Raiola took over and kept the offense moving without a drop-off. Brock Thomas, a quarterback from Eugene, Oregon, completed 3 of 5 passes for 18 yards. The Ducks used multiple quarterbacks as the score grew, giving backups and reserves repetitions. Portland State quarterback Gabe Downing, from Olympia, Washington, completed 8 of 20 passes for 101 yards. Cru Newman, another Portland State quarterback from Portland, Oregon, recorded one reception for 5 yards and one kick return for 12 yards. The Vikings struggled to sustain drives, and their passing game produced only a few notable gains.

Oregon’s receivers made the most of their opportunities. Kendre Harrison caught four passes for 53 yards and one touchdown. Andrew Olesh had two receptions for 23 yards and one touchdown. Brady Bidwell added two receptions for 12 yards and one touchdown. Terence Loville finished with two receptions for 50 yards for Portland State. Tanner Beaman caught one pass for 21 yards, returned one kickoff for 9 yards and made one tackle. Jason Robinson Jr. had one reception for 14 yards. Nathan McCoy II caught one pass for 11 yards. Iverson Hooks had one reception for 6 yards and one punt return for 4 yards. Delon Thompson recorded two receptions for 5 yards to go with nine carries for 12 yards. Niall Raby carried five times for 7 yards. The Ducks’ ability to distribute the ball kept Portland State’s defense off balance.

The scoring began in the first quarter when Jordon Davison rushed for a 3-yard touchdown. Oregon struck again at 9:14 when Dante Moore completed a 45-yard touchdown pass. Davison scored on a 5-yard run at 6:58, and Moore connected with Evan Stewart for a 39-yard touchdown at 4:59. In the second quarter, Moore found Kendre Harrison for a 10-yard touchdown at 13:33. D. Hill Jr. rushed for a 7-yard touchdown at 5:23, and Moore hit M. Hampton for a 7-yard touchdown at 1:45. Gage Hurych and Rocco Graziano handled the extra points.

After halftime, Dylan Raiola took over. Raiola completed a 13-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Olesh at 9:27 and a 17-yard touchdown pass to M. Hampton at 4:08. In the fourth quarter, Raiola found Brady Bidwell for a 7-yard touchdown at 14:55. B. Smith added a 2-yard rushing touchdown with 29 seconds remaining. Graziano kicked the extra points. Oregon mixed efficient passing with a steady rushing attack and scored in every quarter.

Portland State’s defense faced constant pressure. Jaxton Helmstetler led the Vikings with 11 tackles. Deryk Farmer and Isaac Redford each recorded 10 tackles. Lono Solomon finished with eight tackles. Dionte West had seven tackles. DaMari Washington and Logan Lisherness added five tackles apiece, and Lisherness had half a sack. Kekama Cosma recorded three tackles and one sack, while Javon Taylor had three tackles and half a sack. Marcellous Ryan and Sanborne Melson each made four tackles. Bo Gionet had one kick return for 15 yards and two tackles. Despite the defensive effort, Portland State could not slow Oregon’s balanced attack for long. The Vikings also struggled offensively, managing only 101 passing yards and limited production on the ground.

Oregon’s defense also produced notable performances. Bear Alexander had three tackles. Matthew Johnson added three tackles. Gavin Nix recorded two tackles and one quarterback hurry. The Ducks kept Portland State out of the end zone and forced repeated punts. Emiliano Rodriguez punted eight times for 343 yards for Portland State. Bailey Ettridge punted once for 30 yards for Oregon. Gage Hurych and Rocco Graziano handled extra-point attempts. The Ducks’ defense never allowed Portland State’s running game to establish control. Delon Thompson led Portland State with nine carries for 12 yards, and Niall Raby added five carries for 7 yards. The Vikings’ longest gains came through the air, including Terence Loville’s two receptions for 50 yards.
