STEPHENVILLE, Texas (Interstat) — Tarleton State led after every quarter Saturday in a 49-30 victory over Prairie View at Tarleton Memorial Stadium. The Texans led 14-7 after the first quarter, 28-20 at halftime and 42-23 entering the fourth. Tarleton State improved to 1-0. Prairie View fell to 0-1. Tevin Carter led Prairie View with 309 yards passing and a touchdown, and he rushed for 130 yards and another score.
