LARAMIE, Wyo. (Interstat) — Two teams heading in opposite directions will meet Saturday when the Wyoming Cowboys host the Nevada Wolf Pack in a non-conference matchup at War Memorial Stadium.

Wyoming (4-6) looks to snap a three-game losing streak, having been outscored 72-10 in losses to Fresno State, San Diego State and Air Force. The Cowboys’ offense has struggled, managing just a field goal in last week’s 24-3 loss to Fresno State.

Nevada (2-8), however, is riding high after a stunning 55-10 rout of San Jose State. The Wolf Pack’s offense exploded, with quarterbacks Carter Jones and Chubba Purdy combining for five touchdowns and running back Caleb Ramseur adding 157 all-purpose yards. The 55 points nearly matched Nevada’s total from its previous four games combined.

Despite the records, Interstat’s game simulator projects a high-scoring affair, favoring Wyoming 40-32. Oddsmakers, however, have installed Nevada as a 7.5-point favorite with an over/under of 40.5, indicating expectations for a close contest.

The game is a late-season addition for both programs. Wyoming will look to its ground game, led by Samuel Harris, to control the clock, while Nevada will aim to carry its newfound offensive momentum from Reno to the East Coast.
