Western Kentucky at LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. (Interstat) — An 8-2 Western Kentucky team riding a four-game winning streak faces a stiff road test against LSU of the Southeastern Conference on Saturday at Tiger Stadium.

The Hilltoppers, favored by 21.5 points according to Interstat, are led by a potent offense coming off a 42-26 win over Middle Tennessee. Quarterback Rodney Tisdale Jr. was prolific in that victory, throwing for 371 yards and three touchdowns while adding another score on the ground. The backfield duo of Marvis Parrish (102 rushing yards) and La’Vell Wright (two rushing touchdowns) provides a balanced attack.

LSU (6-4) is looking to build momentum after a narrow 23-22 win over Arkansas. Quarterback Michael Van Buren Jr. paced the Tigers, accounting for 257 total yards and a touchdown. The Tigers have struggled against conference foes but have been strong at home, with their only loss in Baton Rouge coming to Texas A&M.

Despite Western Kentucky’s superior record, the game simulator projects a 38-23 victory for the home-standing Tigers. The over/under is set at 50.5.

The contest is the final home game of the season for LSU before it travels to Oklahoma. Western Kentucky visits Jacksonville State next.
