Kent State at Akron
AKRON, Ohio (Interstat) — The annual “Wagon Wheel” rivalry adds a new chapter Tuesday night when the Akron Zips host the Kent State Golden Flashes at InfoCision Stadium.
Both teams enter the midweek MACtion contest looking to build on recent victories. Akron (4-6) is coming off a dominant 44-10 win over Massachusetts last Tuesday, a game in which quarterback Ben Finley threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns while adding another score on the ground. The Zips have won two of their last three games.
Kent State (3-6) snapped a two-game skid with a 24-21 win over Bowling Green on Oct. 25 but fell 17-13 at Ball State in its last outing on Nov. 5. Quarterback Dru DeShields passed for 212 yards in the loss, while running back Gavin Garcia paced the ground game with 59 yards.
Despite Kent State having the worse overall record, oddsmakers have installed the Golden Flashes as a 5.5-point favorite. The over/under is set at 47.5 points. A projection from Interstat, however, forecasts a 34-25 victory for the home-standing Zips.
The game kicks off at 7 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025.
