Wofford at Virginia Military Institute

LEXINGTON, Va. (Interstat) — Two teams looking to build on rare positive momentum will meet Saturday when the Wofford Terriers face the Virginia Military Institute Keydets at Foster Stadium.

Wofford (3-6) is coming off one of its best performances of the season, a 26-16 home victory over Samford last Saturday. The Terriers’ ground game powered the win, with Ihson Jackson-Anderson rushing for 85 yards and Gerald Modest adding 55 yards and a touchdown.

The Keydets (1-8), meanwhile, are seeking their first win since September after falling 35-24 to The Citadel. Despite the loss, VMI’s offense showed life, with quarterback Collin Shannon throwing for 261 yards and two touchdowns and running back Leo Boehling erupting for 149 rushing yards.

Both teams have struggled to find consistency this season. Wofford’s three wins have been its only bright spots in a campaign marked by narrow losses. VMI’s lone victory was a 42-7 rout of Ferrum on Sept. 6, but the team has been outscored significantly in most of its Southern Conference matchups.

According to a Interstat game simulator, this contest projects to be a tight one, with a predicted final score of VMI 26, Wofford 25.

Kickoff is set for Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025.
