Jackson State Dominates Mississippi Valley State in Lopsided Victory
ITTA BENA, Miss. (Interstat) — Jackson State rolled to a 42-3 victory over Mississippi Valley State on Saturday at Rice-Totten Stadium, improving its record to 7-2. The Tigers scored in every quarter, building a 21-0 lead by halftime and never looking back. Quarterback Jared Lockhart led the way for Jackson State, completing 21 of 27 passes for 241 yards and two touchdowns. Nate Rembert was his primary target, catching six passes for 97 yards and two scores. The Delta Devils (1-8) managed only a second-quarter field goal, struggling to move the ball against a stifling Jackson State defense. The loss extends Mississippi Valley State’s difficult season.
