Norfolk State at North Carolina Central
DURHAM, N.C. (Interstat) — A surging North Carolina Central team looks to continue its push for the postseason when it hosts struggling Norfolk State in a MEAC contest on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium.
The Eagles (6-3) enter the game riding high after a commanding 35-14 road victory over Howard last Saturday. Quarterback Walker Harris was prolific in the win, accounting for four touchdowns and 321 yards through the air, while running back Arthur Rodgers Jr. rushed for 126 yards.
Norfolk State (1-8), conversely, seeks to halt a six-game losing streak. The Spartans fell 27-20 at Delaware State last Thursday despite a 311-yard, three-touchdown passing performance from quarterback Otto Kuhns. Their lone win this season came in the opener against Division II Virginia State.
The matchup presents a stark contrast in fortunes. North Carolina Central’s offense has been potent, scoring at least 35 points in four of its six victories. Norfolk State’s defense has struggled, allowing an average of 35.2 points per game during its current skid.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a high-scoring affair, favoring the Eagles 42-23.
Following this game, North Carolina Central will host South Carolina State on Friday, Nov. 14. Norfolk State returns home to face Morgan State on Saturday, Nov. 15.
