James Madison at Marshall

HODDESDON, Hertfordshire (Interstat) — A surging James Madison team looks to continue its dominant run when it faces Marshall in an American college football matchup at The Stewart Edwards Stadium on Saturday.

The Dukes (7-1) enter the contest riding a six-game winning streak, most recently a 52-20 road rout of Texas State on Oct. 28. Quarterback Alonza Barnett III was prolific in that victory, accounting for five total touchdowns, including 264 yards and four scores through the air and another 98 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Conversely, the Thundering Herd (4-4) seeks to steady itself after a 44-27 loss at Coastal Carolina on Oct. 30. Marshall’s offense found some traction on the ground in the defeat, with running back Antwan Roberts rushing for 134 yards.

Despite James Madison’s superior record and momentum, Marshall has been installed as a 13.5-point pregame favorite by oddsmakers. The over/under is set at 54.5. A projection from Interstat, however, forecasts a much closer contest, predicting a 36-29 victory for the Dukes.

The international setting in England adds a unique backdrop to this Sun Belt Conference clash as both programs navigate the second half of their schedules.
