Georgia State at Coastal Carolina
CONWAY, S.C. (Interstat) — A struggling Georgia State team looks to snap a six-game losing streak when it visits a surging Coastal Carolina squad on Saturday at Brooks Stadium.
The Panthers (1-7) are coming off a 38-31 loss to South Alabama on Oct. 23, a game in which quarterback Cameran Brown accounted for four touchdowns. Despite the offensive output, Georgia State’s defense has been a season-long issue, allowing an average of 41.5 points during its current skid.
The Chanticleers (5-3) have found their rhythm, winning three of their last four games. They are fresh off a 44-27 victory over Marshall on Oct. 30, powered by a balanced offensive attack. Quarterback Samari Collier and running back Dominic Knicely both eclipsed 75 rushing yards in the win.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a high-scoring affair, favoring Coastal Carolina 42-31. Despite the lopsided records, Georgia State has been installed as a 7.5-point underdog, with the over/under set at 57.5.
The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on ESPNU.
