BYU at Texas Tech

LUBBOCK, Texas (Interstat) — An undefeated BYU squad faces its toughest test of the season Saturday when the Cougars visit the Texas Tech Red Raiders in a pivotal Big 12 Conference matchup.

The game, scheduled for Nov. 8, 2025, at Jones AT&T Stadium, pits two of the nation’s top teams in a late-season clash with conference championship implications. BYU (8-0) is one of the few remaining unbeaten teams, while Texas Tech (8-1) has dominated since its lone loss at Arizona State on Oct. 18.

The Cougars are coming off a 41-27 road win at Iowa State on Oct. 25, powered by quarterback Bear Bachmeier, who threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns while adding 49 rushing yards and another score. The Red Raiders, meanwhile, are riding high after a 43-20 victory over Kansas State last Saturday. Quarterback Behren Morton threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns, and running back J’Koby Williams rushed for 135 yards and a score in the win.

Despite BYU’s perfect record, a Interstat game simulator projects a narrow 33-32 victory for Texas Tech. Betting markets, however, have installed the Cougars as a 10.5-point favorite. The over/under is set at 52.5.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. Central Time. The game will be broadcast on a national television network to be announced.
