Syracuse at Miami (Fla.)

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (Interstat) — The Miami Hurricanes look to rebound from a stunning overtime loss when they host the struggling Syracuse Orange on Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium.

Miami (6-2) saw its six-game winning streak snapped last Saturday in a 26-20 OT defeat at SMU. The Hurricanes’ offense, led by quarterback Carson Beck, will be tested by a Syracuse defense that has been vulnerable during a four-game skid. Beck threw for 274 yards and two touchdowns in the loss.

Syracuse (3-6) arrives in South Florida mired in a slump, having lost four consecutive games by an average margin of 23 points. The Orange are coming off a 27-10 home loss to North Carolina where their quarterbacks combined to complete 7 of 18 passes for 39 yards.

Despite the disparity in records, Syracuse owns the season’s most anomalous result: a 34-21 road victory over then-Clemson on Sept. 20. Replicating that level of play has been a challenge, as the Orange have been outscored 136-42 in their four ACC losses since.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a Miami victory, 31-20. The Hurricanes are heavy 28.5-point favorites according to FanDuel Sportsbook, with an over/under of 46.5 points.

The game kicks off at 4 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on the ACC Network.
