CORVALLIS, Ore. (Interstat) — Two struggling programs seeking a positive result will meet Saturday when the Oregon State Beavers host the Sam Houston Bearkats at Reser Stadium.

The game features a clash of records against the spread, with the Bearkats (0-8) entering as a curious 20.5-point favorite according to oddsmakers, despite being winless. The Beavers (2-7) are coming off a 10-7 victory over Washington State, a defensive win that snapped a three-game losing streak. Anthony Hankerson powered that effort, rushing for 134 yards and a touchdown.

Sam Houston is searching for its first win after a 55-14 road loss to Louisiana Tech last Friday. The Bearkats’ offense has shown flashes, with running back Elijah Green erupting for 191 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the defeat.
