Northwestern at Southern California

LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — A surging Southern California team returns home to face Northwestern in a nonconference clash Friday night at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

The Trojans (6-2) are riding high after a 21-17 road victory over Nebraska last Saturday, powered by a strong ground game. Quarterback Jayden Maiava and running back King Miller combined for 191 rushing yards in the win.

Northwestern (5-3) looks to rebound from a 28-21 loss at Nebraska on Oct. 25. Despite the defeat, the Wildcats’ running game was effective, with Caleb Komolafe rushing for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Northwestern has shown resilience this season, with close wins over Penn State and UCLA.

Despite the Wildcats’ stronger record against common opponents, betting markets favor the Trojans. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 40-16 victory for Southern California, and the Trojans have been installed as 13.5-point favorites. The over/under is set at 50.5.

The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. PST and will be broadcast on ESPN.
