LSU at Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (Interstat) — The stakes remain high in the SEC when Alabama hosts LSU on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium, a rivalry that has often decided the conference’s Western Division.

The Crimson Tide (7-1, 4-1 SEC) enters on a six-game winning streak since a season-opening loss to Florida State. Quarterback Ty Simpson is coming off a performance where he passed for 253 yards and two touchdowns in a 29-22 road win over South Carolina on Oct. 25.

Alabama’s resume includes a key 24-21 victory at Georgia on Sept. 27.

LSU (5-3, 2-3) arrives in Tuscaloosa looking to rebound from a 49-25 home loss to Texas A&M in its last outing. The Tigers have dropped three of their last four games, including defeats to Vanderbilt and Ole Miss. Quarterbacks Garrett Nussmeier and Michael Van Buren Jr. split time in the loss to the Aggies.

Despite LSU’s recent struggles, the Tigers have been installed as a 9.5-point underdog by national oddsmakers. The over/under is 49.5. According to Interstat’s game simulator, Alabama is projected to win 26-17.

The game is scheduled for a 6:45 p.m. CT kickoff.
