Georgia at Florida
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Interstat) — The Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida Gators will renew their storied rivalry Saturday at EverBank Stadium in a pivotal Southeastern Conference East Division matchup.
Georgia (6-1) enters the contest with momentum after a 43-35 shootout win over then-Ole Miss on Oct. 18. Quarterback Gunner Stockton was dynamic in the victory, accounting for four touchdowns and 348 total yards. The Bulldogs’ offense, averaging over 35 points per game in conference play, will test a Florida defense that has been inconsistent.
The Gators (3-4) are looking to build on a narrow 23-21 home win over Mississippi State. Running back Jadan Baugh provided a spark with 150 rushing yards and a touchdown. Despite their sub-.500 record, Florida has shown flashes, including a win over then-Texas earlier in October.
Despite the disparity in records, Interstat’s game simulator projects a 25-21 Florida victory, and the Gators have been installed as 7.5-point favorites. The over/under is set at 50.5.
The annual neutral-site game in Jacksonville often defies expectations. Georgia will aim to leverage its potent rushing attack, while Florida hopes home-state support can help them pull the upset and revitalize their season.
