Jackson State at Grambling

LAS VEGAS (Interstat) — A pivotal Southwestern Athletic Conference matchup is set for Las Vegas as the Jackson State Tigers face the Grambling Tigers on Saturday at Allegiant Stadium.

Jackson State (5-1) enters the contest riding a five-game winning streak, most recently outlasting Alabama State 38-34 on Oct. 11. Quarterback JaCobian Morgan was dynamic in the victory, passing for 187 yards and four touchdowns while adding 66 rushing yards. Running back Travis Terrell Jr. provides a steady ground presence, rushing for 77 yards in the same game.

Grambling (3-3) is coming off a 20-16 road win against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Oct. 18. The offense leans on running back Tre Bradford, who rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns in their last outing.

The game features two of the conference’s most storied programs, both nicknamed Tigers, in a neutral-site showdown. Jackson State’s high-powered offense, which has averaged over 40 points during its winning streak, will be tested by a Grambling team seeking to reach .500 in conference play.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the contest is projected to be a nail-biter, with Jackson State edging Grambling 34-33.
