Grambling at Arkansas-Pine Bluff

NEW YORK (Interstat) — A pivotal Southwestern Athletic Conference matchup is on tap Saturday as the Grambling Tigers face the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions at Skidelsky Field at City Park Stadium.

Grambling (3-2) enters the contest looking to rebound from a narrow 21-20 loss to Texas Southern last Saturday. The Tigers’ offense utilized a three-quarterback system, with Ashton Frye, C’zavian Teasett and Amyne Darensburg all seeing action. Frye led the team with 43 rushing yards and a touchdown in the defeat.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2-3) seeks to end a two-game skid after a 51-7 road loss to Texas Southern on Oct. 4. Quarterback Christian Peters accounted for the Golden Lions’ lone touchdown in that contest, while running backs Bryant Sanchez and Jaylen Jennings combined for 120 rushing yards.

The neutral-site game in New York features two teams trending in opposite directions. Grambling has won two of its last three, while UAPB has dropped three of its last four. A high-scoring affair is projected, with Interstat’s game simulator forecasting a 42-35 victory for the Tigers.

Kickoff is set for Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025.
