Marist at Morehead State
HALDEMAN, Ky. (Interstat) — Two teams looking to halt losing streaks will meet Saturday when the Marist Red Foxes visit the Morehead State Eagles at Jayne Stadium.
Marist (3-3) enters the contest after a 28-9 road loss to Penn last Friday. The Red Foxes’ offense was led by quarterback Will O’Dell, who passed for 118 yards and rushed for 53 more. Morehead State (2-4) is also coming off a loss, falling 21-14 at Stetson last Saturday. Eagles quarterback Bryce Patterson threw for 167 yards in the defeat.
Both teams have shown offensive flashes this season. Marist secured a 19-14 win over San Diego on Oct. 4, while Morehead State posted a 45-28 victory over Kentucky Christian on Sept. 20. However, consistency has been an issue. The Eagles’ defense has surrendered at least 35 points in three of their four losses.
A high-scoring affair is projected, with Interstat’s game simulator forecasting a 38-35 win for the home-standing Eagles. The outcome could hinge on which team’s defense can make a critical stop in a game featuring two evenly matched opponents seeking a pivotal conference victory.
Kickoff is set for Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025.
