Kent State at Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio (Interstat) — The Toledo Rockets look to get back on track in Mid-American Conference play when they host the Kent State Golden Flashes at the Glass Bowl on Saturday.

Toledo (3-2) is coming off a 28-23 road loss to Bowling Green, a setback that snapped a two-game winning streak. Quarterback Tucker Gleason leads the Rockets’ offense, coming off a 264-yard passing performance. The run game is anchored by Chip Trayanum, who rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown in the loss.

Kent State (1-4) enters with momentum after securing its first victory of the season, a dominant 42-6 win over Massachusetts. The Golden Flashes’ offense exploded behind quarterback Dru DeShields, who threw for 148 yards and four touchdowns, while Da’Realyst Clark added a 91-yard kickoff return for a score.

Despite Kent State’s lopsided win, its season has been defined by blowout losses to Power Five opponents Oklahoma, Florida State and Texas Tech.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a final score of Toledo 39, Kent State 20. Kent State has been installed as a 26.5-point underdog, with the over/under set at 52.5.
