Washington at Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Interstat) — Two of the nation’s top teams collide Saturday when the Washington Huskies visit the Michigan Wolverines at Michigan Stadium.

Washington (5-1) enters riding high after a 38-19 victory over Rutgers last Friday, powered by a dynamic performance from quarterback Demond Williams Jr. The dual-threat passer threw for 402 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 136 yards and two more scores. The Huskies’ lone blemish is a 24-6 loss to Ohio State on Sept. 27.

Michigan (4-1) looks to rebound at home after a 31-13 road loss to Southern California last Saturday. Quarterback Bryce Underwood threw for 207 yards and two touchdowns in the defeat, which snapped a three-game winning streak for the Wolverines. Their only other loss came in a 24-13 defeat at Oklahoma on Sept. 6.

Despite Washington’s superior record and recent offensive explosion, Interstat’s game simulator projects a 31-19 victory for Michigan. Betting markets, however, list Washington as a 5.5-point favorite. The over/under is set at 50.5 points.

The matchup features a potent Washington offense, averaging over 39 points per game, against a stout Michigan defense that has held three opponents to 17 points or fewer this season.
