Tennessee Tech at Charleston Southern

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Interstat) — An unstoppable force meets a struggling squad when the undefeated Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles visit the Charleston Southern Buccaneers at Buccaneer Field on Saturday.

Tennessee Tech (5-0) is riding high after a 66-20 rout of Western Illinois last week. The Golden Eagles’ offense has been prolific, averaging over 54 points per game. Quarterback Kekoa Visperas is coming off a dominant performance, throwing for 358 yards and four touchdowns while adding 73 yards on the ground.

In stark contrast, Charleston Southern (1-5) is looking to rebound from a narrow 30-27 loss to Gardner-Webb. The Buccaneers’ lone victory came against South Carolina State on Sept. 27. Despite the record, running back Ke’Marion Baldwin provides a spark, rushing for 175 yards and three touchdowns in the team’s last outing.

Despite the disparity in records, Interstat’s game simulator projects an upset, forecasting a 40-31 victory for the home-standing Buccaneers.

The game will kick off at 5:30 p.m. EDT.
