South Dakota at Indiana State

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (Interstat) — Two teams coming off offensive explosions, but with opposite results, will meet Saturday when the South Dakota Coyotes visit the Indiana State Sycamores at Memorial Stadium.

South Dakota (3-3) is riding high after a 49-24 rout of Murray State last Saturday. The Coyotes’ offense was dominant, led by running back L.J. Phillips Jr., who rushed for 244 yards and four touchdowns. Quarterback Aidan Bouman added three touchdown passes in the victory.

Indiana State (2-3) is looking to rebound after a 55-27 road loss to Southern Illinois. Despite the lopsided score, the Sycamores found a bright spot in running back Nick Osho, who rushed for 211 yards and two touchdowns.

The game features two of the Missouri Valley Football Conference’s top rushers. Phillips’ historic performance last week gives him momentum, while Osho provides Indiana State with a consistent ground threat. Both defenses will be tested after allowing over 50 points in recent losses to FBS and top FCS opponents.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, Indiana State is projected to win a high-scoring affair, 35-31.

Kickoff is set for Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025.
