Norfolk State at Wofford
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking their first win against a Division I opponent this season will meet Saturday when Norfolk State visits Wofford at Gibbs Stadium.
The Spartans (1-5) are coming off a 41-34 road loss to Hampton on Oct. 4, a game in which their offense showed life despite the defeat. Quarterback Otto Kuhns threw for 242 yards and three touchdowns while adding 54 yards on the ground. Running back X’Zavion Evans complemented him with 93 rushing yards and a score.
Wofford (0-5) is also looking to build on a narrow defeat, having fallen 23-21 to Western Carolina in its last outing. Quarterback Jayden Whitaker passed for 209 yards and two touchdowns in that contest.
Both teams have struggled to close out games, with Norfolk State’s lone victory coming against Division II Virginia State, and Wofford suffering three losses by a combined eight points.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a Wofford victory, 35-22. The game is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025.
