Mississippi Valley State at Alabama A&M

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Interstat) — Alabama A&M looks to get back on track and move above .500 when it hosts winless Mississippi Valley State on Saturday at Louis Crews Stadium.

The Bulldogs (3-3) are coming off a 57-24 home loss to Jackson State in which quarterback Cornelious Brown IV threw for 341 yards and two touchdowns. Prior to that defeat, Alabama A&M had won two of its last three games, including a 41-31 victory over Alcorn State.

Mississippi Valley State (0-4) is still searching for its first win under first-year coach Kendrick Wade. The Delta Devils have shown flashes of offensive life, narrowly falling 23-20 to Texas Southern in their last outing on Sept. 27. In that game, quarterback Josh Brown accounted for 343 total yards, passing for 252 and rushing for 91 with a touchdown.

However, defensive struggles have plagued the Delta Devils, who have allowed an average of 51.5 points in their two most recent road games at Tarleton State and Southeastern Louisiana.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a high-scoring affair, favoring Alabama A&M by a score of 42-23. The Bulldogs will look to capitalize on their home-field advantage before a key conference matchup against rival Alabama State next week.
