Navy at Temple

PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) — The undefeated Navy Midshipmen, riding high after a dramatic victory over a service academy rival, face a road test against the Temple Owls on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field.

Navy (5-0) is off to its best start in years and is coming off a 34-31 win over Air Force last Saturday. The Midshipmen’s offense is powered by quarterback Blake Horvath, who was spectacular in the win, throwing for 339 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 130 yards and another score.

Temple (3-2) is looking to build momentum after a 27-21 win over Texas-San Antonio. The Owls have shown resilience, bouncing back from consecutive blowout losses to Oklahoma and Georgia Tech earlier in the season. Quarterback Evan Simon leads the Temple offense, coming off a game where he passed for two touchdowns.

Despite Navy’s perfect record, oddsmakers favor the Owls. Temple has been installed as a 9.5-point favorite. The over/under is 52.5 points. A projection from Interstat forecasts a narrow 29-28 victory for Temple.

The game will be a contrast in momentum, with Navy aiming to preserve its unblemished record while Temple seeks a statement win as a home favorite.
