San Jose State at Wyoming

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Interstat) — Two teams looking to build momentum will meet when the San Jose State Spartans face the Wyoming Cowboys on Saturday at War Memorial Stadium.

Both teams enter the non-conference matchup with identical 2-3 records. San Jose State is coming off a 35-28 home victory over New Mexico last Friday. Spartans quarterback Walker Eget was highly efficient in the win, completing 26 of 30 passes for 334 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 17 yards on the ground.

Wyoming, however, seeks to rebound from a 31-17 home loss to UNLV last Saturday. The Cowboys’ offense struggled with consistency, as quarterback Kaden Anderson completed 25 of 46 passes for 254 yards and a touchdown.

Despite the similar records, statistical models favor the Cowboys. Interstat’s game simulator projects a final score of Wyoming 36, San Jose State 25. Betting markets reflect this, installing Wyoming as a slight 1.5-point favorite. The over/under is set at 48.5 points.

The game will be a test of San Jose State’s resurgent offense against a Wyoming team trying to rediscover its form after two consecutive losses to Power Five opponents, Colorado and Utah. The Spartans have won two of their last three games.
