Kansas at Texas Tech
LUBBOCK, Texas (Interstat) — An undefeated Texas Tech squad will put its perfect record on the line when it hosts a surging Kansas team in a Big 12 Conference matchup Saturday at Jones AT&T Stadium.
The Red Raiders (5-0, 2-0 Big 12) are one of the nation’s surprise teams, having outscored opponents by an average of 25 points per game. Their most recent victory was a 35-11 road win at Houston, where quarterback Behren Morton threw for 345 yards and a touchdown.
Kansas (4-2, 1-1) arrives in Lubbock after a 27-20 win at UCF. The Jayhawks have shown a potent offense, led by quarterback Jalon Daniels, who passed for 235 yards and rushed for 25 more in the victory.
Despite Texas Tech’s dominant start, Kansas has been installed as a 14.5-point pregame underdog by oddsmakers. The over/under is set at 58.5 points. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 40-24 victory for the Red Raiders.
The game will be the first of a challenging two-week stretch for Texas Tech, which travels to Arizona State next Saturday. Kansas, seeking a statement road win, will host Kansas State on Oct. 25.
