Clemson at Boston College
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (Interstat) — Two ACC teams looking to build on divergent recent results will meet Saturday when the Clemson Tigers visit the Boston College Eagles at Alumni Stadium.
Clemson (2-3) enters with momentum after a decisive 38-10 road victory over North Carolina last Saturday. The Tigers’ quarterback room was prolific in the win, with Cade Klubnik throwing for 254 yards and four touchdowns. The victory snapped a two-game skid for Clemson, which had previously fallen to Syracuse and Georgia Tech.
Conversely, Boston College (1-4) is reeling from a 48-7 loss at Pittsburgh. The Eagles’ offense struggled, cycling through three quarterbacks in the lopsided defeat. It was the fourth consecutive loss for Boston College since a season-opening win over Fordham.
Despite the records, Boston College has been installed as a 13.5-point favorite by oddsmakers. The over/under is set at 54.5 points. A projection from Interstat, however, forecasts a much closer contest, predicting a 26-24 Clemson victory.
The game will be the first of a key October stretch for both squads. Clemson will host SMU next week, while Boston College is set to welcome Connecticut.
