UCLA at Michigan State
EAST LANSING, Mich. (Interstat) — The struggling UCLA Bruins, fresh off a stunning upset, will look to build momentum when they visit the Michigan State Spartans at Spartan Stadium on Saturday.
UCLA (1-4) is coming off its first win of the season, a 42-37 victory over then-Penn State last Saturday. The Bruins’ offense exploded, led by quarterback Nico Iamaleava, who passed for 166 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 128 yards and three more scores. Prior to that win, UCLA had lost its first four games by an average margin of 19 points.
Michigan State (3-2) aims to rebound after a 38-27 road loss to Nebraska. The Spartans have alternated wins and losses this season, with their two defeats coming against Nebraska and Southern California. The quarterback duo of Alessio Milivojevic and Aidan Chiles will be tasked with reigniting an offense that was held to 85 passing yards by the Cornhuskers.
Despite UCLA’s poor overall record, the Bruins have been installed as 7.5-point favorites by oddsmakers. The over/under is set at 55.5 points. A projection from Interstat simulates a Michigan State victory, 30-25.
The game kicks off at noon EDT on Saturday in East Lansing.
