Grambling at Prairie View
PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (Interstat) — A key Southwestern Athletic Conference matchup is set for Panther Stadium on Saturday as the Grambling State Tigers visit the Prairie View A&M Panthers.
Grambling State (3-1) enters the contest with momentum after a 31-28 victory over Texas A&M-Commerce last Saturday. The Tigers’ offense has been potent, averaging over 40 points per game in their three wins, though they were shut out 70-0 in a Week 2 road loss to Ohio State.
The Tigers are led by quarterback Tevin Carter, who passed for 148 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 56 yards in the win over Texas A&M-Commerce. Running back Chase Bingmon provides a powerful ground attack, rushing for 180 yards in that same game.
Prairie View A&M (2-2) is also coming off a narrow win, having defeated Northwestern State 27-24. The Panthers have shown resilience, with both of their victories this season coming by six points or fewer.
The series between these two rivals is historically tight, adding another layer of intrigue to the contest. According to a projection from Interstat, this year’s edition is expected to be another high-scoring affair, with the simulator predicting a 42-37 victory for the home-standing Panthers.
Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025.
