(Interstat) — Mark Scamardella struck out eight over 6 2/3 strong innings and the NJIT Highlanders used a four-run sixth inning to pull away for a 6-3 victory over the Maine Black Bears in the first game of an America East Conference doubleheader on Saturday at Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium.
