(Interstat) — Jack Toomey went 4 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs, and the Boston College Eagles scored in five of their eight offensive innings to rout the Massachusetts-Lowell River Hawks 12-2 on Wednesday afternoon at Eddie Pellagrini Diamond at John Shea Field. The Eagles, who improved to 13-8, saw their offense erupt early and often, tallying 14 hits. The River Hawks fell to 7-9 despite collecting nine hits, as they stranded 10 baserunners.
