GRANVILLE, W.Va. (Interstat) — Cam Bagwell pitched five innings of no-hit ball and Wake Forest rolled past Binghamton 12-3 in a playoff game Saturday afternoon at Monongalia County Ballpark. The Demon Deacons improved to 39-20, while the Bearcats fell to 31-22.

Wake Forest pounded out 15 hits. Blake Schaaf went 4-for-4 with two RBIs, Javar Williams homered and drove in three runs, Kade Lewis added two RBIs and Matt Conte had two RBIs. Bagwell struck out four, allowing two earned runs on no hits. Zach Johnston threw 2 2/3 innings of hitless relief.

Binghamton managed nine hits, scoring three runs in the fifth inning. Zachary Anderson hit a solo homer, his seventh. Brady Bouchard pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing one earned run.

Wake Forest scored four unearned runs in the second inning and never trailed. Williams added a solo homer in the eighth and Schaaf drove in a run in the ninth.
