SURPRISE, Ariz. (Interstat) — Oklahoma State defeated UCF 12-6 on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Surprise Stadium. The Cowboys improved to 37-19 overall, while the Knights fell to 31-21 in Big 12 play.

Hudson Barrett pitched five innings of hitless relief, allowing one earned run and striking out four, to earn top-star honors. Colin Brueggemann drove in four runs on two hits, including a three-run single in the eighth. Mario Pesca added three hitless innings with four strikeouts. For UCF, Javier Crespo homered and drove in four runs.

Oklahoma State jumped ahead early on a first-inning RBI single by Smithwick. The Cowboys added two runs in the fourth on hits by Shull and Thompson. They stretched the lead in the fifth on an RBI single and a sacrifice fly. UCF answered in the fifth on Crespo’s three-run homer. Oklahoma State broke the game open with a five-run eighth, highlighted by Brueggemann’s three-run single. The Cowboys tacked on a run in the ninth on Alex Conover’s RBI triple.
