Drew Berkland opened the scoring with a first-inning homer. Tyler Lichtenberger answered with a solo shot in the top of the third, and Tryston McCladdie tripled in another run to put Clemson ahead 2-1. Bino Watters homered for Notre Dame in the bottom half, and Lee’s RBI double tied the score. Lee’s sixth-inning solo homer again tied it after Bryce Clavon had homered in the top of the seventh.

Dylan Singleton’s sacrifice fly in the eighth gave the Irish a 5-4 lead. Jacob Jarrell homered for Clemson in the ninth, but the Tigers could not complete the comeback.

Clemson fell to 31-26; Notre Dame improved to 31-21. Jack Radel earned the win in relief, while Michael Sharman took the loss. The Irish have won three straight against the Tigers after sweeping a series in March.
