Kentucky took an early lead on an RBI single by Luke Lawrence and a solo home run by Tyler Bell. Carson Hansen also homered for the Wildcats. Vanderbilt answered with a run in the third inning, then scored four times in the sixth to tie the game on a throwing error. Brodie Johnston put the Commodores ahead with a two-run homer in the eighth. Alex Kranzler earned the win in relief. Vanderbilt totaled 12 hits to Kentucky’s eight.
