NACOGDOCHES, Texas (Interstat) — Hector Rodriguez drove in two runs and Lamar defeated Stephen F. Austin 4-2 on Saturday. The Cardinals improved to 31-25, dropping the Lumberjacks to 28-25. Rodriguez singled in a run in the first inning and added another RBI single in the third. Tab Tracy added an RBI single in the ninth. Julius Valentine also drove in a run. Lamar outhit Stephen F. Austin 9-5. Mark Henning scored on a walk in the second inning for the Lumberjacks, and Cantua scored on a sacrifice bunt. Cooper Carlgren earned the win for Lamar. Brennan Greer took the loss. Kadin Munson, Gage Elliott and Seanan Farney also pitched for Stephen F. Austin. The Cardinals have won three of their last four meetings with the Lumberjacks.
